The old GE Lighting building, on Brackmills, Northampton – the project was cladding cleaning.
Now there’s a cladding clean and a cladding clean. The building is enormous.
Approximately 150 metres down each side, 80 metres across the back and then the office area.
Full cladding clean, canopy cleaning (x 2), bullnose cleaning, hire in of 2 x 60m boom and a 28.8m boom for the high sections.
Had some serious problems on this one with machinery breaking down due to the June heat. Some days it was in excess of 30 degrees and no breeze – with air cooled machines a nightmare.
Once they got sorted we brought the clean in just one day over the 2 weeks expected, with breakdowns three weeks but within the client expectation for the project.
